OUR STUDENT BECAME A PROMOTER OF THE “EVROKREM” PROJECT

“Evrokrem” Project promotes European values related to Environmental Policies in local communities of the City of Belgrade through partnership between the Government institutions and secondary school students.

evrokrem_logoI was invited by my science teacher Ms. Drndic to participate in it! I accepted with an enthusiastic approach to it as it would both help me in the future and be a fun experience! The group dealt with various areas like The European Standard’s, Recycling, European Values, etc.

It was exciting, because it involved the students (who were mostly high school goers), to participate 100% in the program and it never got boring. Though I was the only guy there, it was still pretty much fun! After our gatherings at various parks where we talked about the European values, culture etc… We visited a scrap yard of sort, where recycling was done of second hand materials. It’s a very strange place and we never knew it existed in our country. The manager of the yard pointed out that more of these Recycling centers should be established in the aim of creating profits and a cleaner environment.

Later on we went to the City Assembly where we met with some of the Government representatives who were in an Eco-Friendly group.

It was both fun and educational! As the result of this project, 30 students became promoters and activists in raising awareness of responsible and sustainable development of local communities in the process of European Integrations and their partnership with Government institutions.

We went home happily carrying the diplomas we received proud to have taken part in the project.
